It’s a finite world. We have not only reached all of its corners; we also have the power to access them with ease. So hordes of us meet nature in the most remote locations and make it the object of our consumption. No more virgin spaces, no place to stay with oneself or hide, no immensity anymore…

It is an important result of overpopulation and technological progress. Even the most remote and unreachable places are becoming our backyard.

Photography, through its fragmentary character, can still show pristine and endless landscapes. But it’s all just a trick, a deception. Photographic language is adept at promising reality and delivering fiction or even lies. To that end framing, an element so basic and inherent to the medium, is a very efficient tool.

This project is a song to the beauty of nature and at the same time, an elegy for the loss of its essence.
